Basha closed out its 2024 regular season in style, defeating Perry 31-11 on November 8, 2024, to extend its winning streak to eight games heading into the playoffs. The run included statement wins over Sandra Day O'Connor, Brophy, Hamilton, Chandler, and Casteel — a gauntlet of some of the toughest programs in the state.

The Perry win wasn't just about padding the streak. It was a display of the depth and consistency that would carry Basha through the playoffs and all the way to the 2024 Open Division championship game, where the Bears would ultimately fall to Liberty 35-17.

Stringing together wins over that many quality opponents in a row is no small feat in a state as competitive as Arizona, and the streak established Basha as one of the teams every other Open Division contender had to account for down the stretch of the 2024 season.

While the season ultimately ended in a championship game loss, the eight-game run that included the win over Perry was a sign of the program Basha was building — one that would return to the championship stage again the very next season and finally break through.
