Daylen Sharper Followed His Father's Footsteps into Big-Time Recruiting, Landing at Stanford

Daylen Sharper built his own recruiting profile at Brophy College Prep, catching 65 passes for 846 yards and 12 touchdowns in a season that helped the 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver collect 23 scholarship offers, including from Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, and Wisconsin.
Sharper, a three-star prospect in the 2026 class ranked the No. 84 wide receiver and No. 542 overall recruit nationally by the On3 Industry Ranking, ultimately chose Stanford over the crowded field of suitors, including in-state programs Arizona and Arizona State.
The football pedigree runs in the family. Sharper is the son of Darren Sharper, the former NFL safety who spent 14 seasons in the league and earned multiple Pro Bowl selections during his playing career. Growing up around that level of football didn't go unnoticed in Sharper's own game, with his size and ball skills drawing consistent praise from recruiting evaluators throughout his recruitment.
For a Brophy program with a long track record of producing Division I talent, Sharper's commitment to Stanford added another name to a growing list of Broncos moving on to high-major college football.
