Desert Mountain is the 2025 5A state champion. The Wolves defeated Canyon View 21-7 on December 5, 2025, to claim the title, capping a season in which the program established itself as the class of Arizona's 5A conference.

Desert Mountain never trailed, allowing the Wolves to play with a steady hand throughout a championship weekend that, across the state's various conferences, saw several close, hard-fought finals.
Canyon View's run to the title game was itself a notable achievement, but the Grizzlies ran into a Desert Mountain team playing its most complete football of the season at exactly the right time.
