Devin Fitzgerald Built His Own Recruiting Story, Then Chose Notre Dame
Phoenix, Arizona — 2025 Season
Devin Fitzgerald spent his senior season at Brophy College Prep putting together one of the most productive receiving campaigns in the state, catching 82 passes for 1,230 yards and 15 touchdowns across 12 games while helping Brophy reach the quarterfinals of the Arizona Open Division playoffs. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver built on a strong junior season in which he caught 52 passes for 720 yards and nine touchdowns, including a school-record-tying performance of 14 catches for 253 yards and four touchdowns against Chandler.
The name carries extra weight in Arizona football circles. Fitzgerald is the son of Larry Fitzgerald, the longtime Arizona Cardinals great and NFL Hall of Fame receiver, a connection that made Devin's own recruiting journey one of the more closely watched storylines among Valley high school programs.
Fitzgerald built his own recruiting profile independent of the family name, earning a ranking of No. 252 nationally, No. 41 among wide receivers, and No. 3 in Arizona according to Rivals. He ultimately committed to Notre Dame in 2025, adding his name to the Fighting Irish's receiving room.
Beyond the numbers, Fitzgerald was named MVP of the OT7 All-Star Game in June, further cementing his standing among the top receiving prospects to come out of Arizona in recent years — a résumé built entirely on his own production on Friday nights at Brophy.
