Enoch Watson Led Arizona in Passing Yards on His Way to a BYU Commitment

Enoch Watson's senior season at ALA-Queen Creek put him at the top of Arizona's passing leaderboard. Watson completed 189 of 298 passes for 2,581 yards and 29 touchdowns, while also adding 356 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground, leading the state in both total passing yards and passing yards per game at 297.5.
The production came in ALA-Queen Creek's first year competing as a 6A program, with Watson helping guide the Patriots to an 8-3 record against a significantly tougher schedule than the team had faced in past classifications. Watson's college recruitment had already been settled by that point — he committed to BYU, choosing the Cougars after an offer from then-offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick.
The BYU connection ran deeper than football. Watson is coached at ALA by head coach Ty Detmer and offensive coordinator Max Hall, both former BYU quarterbacks, and his older brother Pierson had previously committed to BYU as a linebacker before leaving on a church mission — a path Enoch has said he plans to follow himself.
Watson's most talked-about moment came in a comeback win, when he helped erase a 28-9 deficit and capped it by catching a tipped pass for a touchdown with under 15 seconds to play — a play that went down in the box score as a 22-yard pass to himself.
