Liberty's 2024 season was a demonstration of exactly how a program sustains success at the top of Arizona high school football's toughest division.
The Lions rolled through much of their 2024 schedule the way they had the year before — efficient, disciplined, and rarely tested in the fourth quarter, with wins like a 43-14 dismantling of Saguaro serving as a template for how Liberty handled the bulk of its opponents. When the postseason arrived, Liberty carried that same identity into the Open Division bracket, eventually meeting Basha in the championship game and winning 35-17 to become the first repeat champion in the division's history.
What made the 2024 season notable wasn't just the result — it was the way Liberty got there, without the drama or close calls that often accompany a title defense. The Lions simply reloaded and did it again.
